The EU's decision to resort to legal measures against Canada, after the failure of direct talks to settle the dispute, will come as little surprise because Japan has already trodden the same path in an identical case.

I know I'm dating myself here when I say this makes me think of Miller's "Tastes great, less filling !" beer ads for Miller Lite. If the Japanese and EU win the case, we'll have the equivalent of "Tastes terrible, more filling !" -- none of the green jobs and all of the cost (with the attendant job losses). It would damage the province a bit but I actually think I'd like to see it happen -- it might make the province put the brakes on renewables.
